Will it actually happen?
Half the glass ceiling will be smashing,
The donkey stands clapping,
Social distanced lights will be flashing.
What does this mean for everyone else?
The elephant roars to protect itself,
The world goes on in the Central Belt,
As tier four sits high on a shelf.
Covid Winter is nipping at our heels,
A second tsunami on the horizon,
No family holiday meals,
But it’s worth compromising.
We’ll zoom the ones we love,
Share food by a delivery truck,
Craft hats, gloves, and reminisce of,
Wishing each other good luck.
Today we will smash half the ceiling,
Sixty per cent will go blue,
It’s such a lovely feeling,
And the world will turn anew!
